Gardening

Pause. Standstill. Inhale and Exhale.
Pause. Standstill. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

2020 has caused us to pause, standstill, inhale and exhale, and even exclaim! The p...a....u....s...e (yes, pause) can help you realize what is really important to you, what are you are thankful for, and aspects of your surrounding area that are enjoyable.

The pause has allowed me to create spaces for focused activities and repurpose spaces to pursue or fulfill interests. Yes, create and repurposes spaces!

My deck has been converted to a repurpose space as a Garden! I've dubbed myself as the Urban Veggie Queen and have committed to post daily about my venture as a gardener in a garden bed, pots and other containers on my deck.

Gardening has been therapeutic. It has allowed me to enjoy the process of gardening, watching different vegetables, herbs and flowers grow. I've enjoyed the birds chirping in the morning, the storms and the sun, muggy and cloudy weather.

I enjoy nurturing the plants and telling everyone about it. You can follow me on telegram on the "watch me grow" channel and Youtube as the Urban Veggie Queen.

I am committed to inspire others to build a vegetable garden.
It is uplifting.

Quench Your Thirst, Hydrate Your Mind

Uplifted Today created the concept of "Quench Your Thirst, Hydrate Your Mind" after contemplating how often we are compelled to satisfy our immediate need and not our growth and development in situations. In our daily relationships whether personal or business, we have to evaluate the effort we are placing into our holistic growth as individuals. You have to determine the barometer of measuring your holistic growth. Uplifted Today developed a set of key questions to help measure holistic growth. What did I learn? Did I learn something that can be apply to me personally or shared with someone to inspire their growth? What effort did I contribute to this situation, process or relationship? What are some of the tangible outcomes? Uplifted Today believes knowledge is a tangible outcome because it can shift from knowledge to applied knowledge in different circustances. Uplifted Today encourages people to journal knowledge acquired and developing strategies to apply th...

Create Your Mood of Happiness

Create your mood of happiness wherever you are! This year we are saturated with repetitive echoes of universal challenges. We can take moments daily to focus on happiness. This happiness may include reminiscing on photos from years ago, taking a walk, reorganizing a room, starting a new project or changing something to a color-coded feature. Growing and cooking food made me happy. My happiness activities were gardening, visiting ethnic food stores and cooking new dishes, and decluttering the closet these past few months.

New Year, New Month, New Day, New Hour, New Second = New Start

@upliftedtoday is on threads and Instagram. Today's post was New Year, New Month, New Day, New Hour, New Second = New Start. The truth is any moment you make a committment, change, or new habit it can begin at any second. Often we use January 1st to begin a New Year Resolution. It is the way we are programmed on the Gregorian Calendar. Most of us postponed our goals to a start date. We may wait until the beginning of the month, the next day, or the next hour to start something. I encourage you to take a moment and write down everything you would like to do or accomplish. Then, write down the initial step you can start today related to what you would like to do or accomplish. Review the list daily and continue to add the subsequent second and next steps daily or weekly. Find you a trusted accountability partner to share the list daily and your updates minimumally on a bi-weekly basis. Follow my blog with Bloglovin
